Workshops & Retreats

Spaces for deeper, slower work.

Spaces where teaching, practice and quiet meet. Each gathering blends Tantric Yoga, meditation, Circling and personal guidance into a single exploration of presence, awareness and embodied living.

Why gather?

Something happens when we practise together

A retreat or workshop is a total immersion into a different way of being. Stepping away from everyday busyness allows us to reconnect with deeper aspects of ourselves that are often hidden beneath distraction, habit and constant activity.

Practising together creates an environment where awareness naturally deepens. There is something in the shared field of attention that supports what is difficult to reach alone.

Circling and Surrendered Leadership offer opportunities to speak and relate from that deeper place, so the practice does not remain private, but becomes a way of meeting ourselves, one another and life.

A day together

The shape of a day

Days unfold slowly. Nothing is rushed. What follows is a feel for the rhythm rather than a fixed schedule.

1

Arrival

A peaceful venue. Time to settle. Tea. Quiet introductions. A sense of being welcomed and unhurried before anything begins.

2

Morning practice

Tantric Yoga: asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha, Yoga Nidra, meditation and self-inquiry. The emphasis is not on performance or flexibility, but on awareness, presence and subtle experience.

3

Lunch

A shared meal. Relaxed conversation. Time in the garden or in nature where the venue allows. Space for the nervous system to settle and for connections to form naturally.

4

Afternoon

Circling and Surrendered Leadership: guided exploration of present-moment awareness, relational mindfulness, physical sensation, energy, emotional awareness and authentic communication. These practices invite us to notice how we meet ourselves and one another.

5

Integration

The day closes with reflection, discussion and practical ways of carrying the experience into everyday life.

One direction

Different practices. One direction.

Whether you come to a workshop, retreat or one-to-one session, the practices offered are different doorways into the same exploration. Tantric Yoga, meditation, Yoga Nidra, Circling and Surrendered Leadership each approach the same essential question from a different angle.

They all help you connect more deeply with your true self, the part of you that exists beneath the roles, identities and versions of yourself you have gathered along the way.

As that connection deepens, practice becomes less a technique to master and more a way of being. A steadier ground from which to meet whatever life is asking of you.

What people often experience

Many people notice…

  • A softening of the busyness of the mind.
  • A deeper sense of contact with the body and breath.
  • Space to feel what has been quietly asking for attention.
  • More honest, present ways of relating to others.
  • A quiet return to something they had begun to forget.

You do not need to be flexible, spiritual or experienced in meditation. You simply need a willingness to show up with curiosity and an openness to explore.

What often surprises people

The quiet surprises

Many people are surprised by a depth of presence they have rarely experienced before, and by aspects of themselves they had lost contact with quietly returning.

There is often an unusual sense of openness, connection and aliveness. Some describe the state of awareness as almost psychedelic, not because anything extraordinary is happening, but because they are experiencing themselves and others with unusual clarity and presence.

Nothing is being added. Something familiar is simply being uncovered.

A note on what this is, and isn't

Common misunderstandings

On Tantric Yoga

Tantric Yoga, as taught here, is not centred around sexuality or neo-tantric practices. The emphasis is on awareness, meditation, subtle body practice and embodied presence, drawn from classical lineages.

On Circling

Circling is not simply sharing feelings or having interesting conversations. It is a relational meditation rooted in direct experience of the present moment: what is actually here, between us, right now.

This work may be for you if…

  • You long for a slower pace.
  • You want to deepen your meditation or yoga practice.
  • You are curious about authentic Tantric Yoga.
  • You value honest exploration and self-enquiry.
  • You want to cultivate deeper presence in everyday life.

A note of honest guidance

These workshops may not be appropriate for people who are currently in acute psychological crisis, or who need specialist therapeutic support. This is not exclusionary, simply honest guidance to help you make an informed decision. If you're unsure, please get in touch.

My hope is that people leave with a greater sense of love and trust in life, a deeper confidence in their own inner experience, and a renewed sense of the goodness that exists within themselves and other people.

Testimonials

From past gatherings

Deva’s classes are a lovely heart centred, meditative unwinding, deepening into a serene inner stillness and calm. A very rich and thorough, yet gentle class with lots of attention to details, bringing and breathing the asanas to full life and consciousness. They leave me feeling refreshed, re-centred and warmed.
